ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: Renter acknowledges that the instrument outfit is in good playing condition and repair at the time of delivery.

PAYMENT: All payments due under the terms of this Agreement will be paid by Credit or Debit Card. The Renter hereby warrants that they are an authorized user of the Credit or Debit Card listed above and authorizes Epoch Violin, Inc. D/B/A Mandarin Strings to charge that card with any amounts due under this Agreement.

INITIAL TERM AND RENEWAL: The initial term of this Agreement is sixty days and the prorated days of the third month, and it will automatically renew monthly until the Instrument Outfit is returned or this Agreement is otherwise liquidated as described below.

BILLING TERMS: The Total Initial Payment has been paid simultaneous with the execution of this Agreement and delivery of the Instrument Outfit. The Total Initial Payment is for the prorated amount for the days left in the current month plus the following month. On approximately the first day of each subsequent month the Renter's card will be charged the amount of the Total Monthly Fees. This rental Agreement may be ended by the Renter at any time by returning the instrument and all accessories to Epoch Violin, Inc. D/B/A Mandarin Strings, Inc. on or before the last business day of the month in which the Renter wishes to end this Agreement, or by the Renter exercising  the Early Pay Off option described below.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUTFIT: The Renter assumes full responsibility for the Instrument Outfit and agrees to maintain the Instrument Outfit. The Renter assumes full responsibility for the cost of any repairs resulting from other than normal use of the Instrument Outfit.

MAINTENANCE and REPLACEMENT: This Agreement includes a Maintenance Fee to cover the regular maintenance of the instrument, and to assist the Renter in assuming responsibility for severe damage or loss. This fee covers costs resulting from normal wear and tear (minor crakcs, nicks, and scratches), open seams, broken strings, bridge and soundpost replacement, and sticking or slipping pegs. The case and bow are not covered and will normaly not need repair during the term of this Agreement. The Maintenance Fee does not cover loss due to neglect, abuse or intent. In the case of damage or loss due to accident or theft all rental equity is forfeited and if the following three conditions are met, Epoch Violin, Inc. D/B/A Mandarin Strings. will release the Renter from responsibility for future payments for the instrument: 1. All payments due under this Agreement are current, 2. A copy of the police or fire report is provided to Epoch Violin, Inc. D/B/A Mandarin Strings (if applicable), and 3. The renter pays the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Outfit Value stated above if continuing with a new Rental or thirty percent (30%) of the Balance Left to pay off the Outfit Value.

INSTRUMENT EXCHANGE: The Renter may exchange the Instrument Outfit for one of the same type and of a larger size (if available) at no additional cost. One hundred percent (100%) of the accrued rental fees (excluding the Maintenance Fee and tax) may be carried over to the new Instrument Outfit Rental. If the Renter is renting a Viola that is between 12" and 14" in size and they wish to exchange it for a Viola that is 15" and above in size, the Renter agrees to a Total Monthly Fee and Outfit Value increase in accordance with the change in the Instrument Outfit size.

EARLY PAY OFF: Should the Renter wish to pay off the Instrument Outfit earlier than the timeline outlined in this Rental Agreement, the Renter agrees to pay eighty percent (80%) of the remaining Balance (consisting of the Outfit Value minus the accrued Monthly Rental Fees to date, plus Tax).

DELINQUENCY: Should Monthly Fees become delinquent by three or more monthly payments this agreement is in default and the total of all delinquent and future Total Monthly Fees shall become due and payable immediately, and Epoch Violin, Inc. D/B/A Mandarin Strings may pursue all available legal remedies in connection with this unpaid amount. The Renter agrees to pay any costs incurred resulting from enforcement of the terms of this contract. These costs may include but are not limited to attorney fees, collection fees and court costs.

CHANGE OF RESIDENCE: Renter agrees to notify Epoch Violin, Inc. D/B/A Mandarin Strings of any change of address within 30 days.

CHANGE OF CONTACT INFORMATION: Renter agrees to notify Epoch Violin, Inc. D/B/A Mandarin Strings of any change of phone number or email address within 30 days.

PURCHASE OPTIONS: Option One: One hundred percent (100%) of the accrued rental fees (excluding the Maintenance and Repair Fee) may be applied to the purchase of the rented Instrument Outfit at any time during the term of this Agreement. Option Two: One hundred percent (100%) of the accrued rental fees (excluding the Maintenance and Repair Fee) may be applied to the regular purchase price of a new instrument outfit up to a maximum of 50% of the purchase price of the new instrument outfit. The rental credit for Option Two will expire 90 days after the last payment is made under the terms of this Agreement.
